keeping a gambling house or place
A proprietor is guilty if with his knowledge, acquiescence, and consent, express or implied, gambling is carried on upon premises in his possession as owner or lessee, or under his management or control, by his associates or subordinates who are likewise guilty if they are present aiding and assisting in carrying on such gambling operations for him. Commonwealth v. Pinkenson, 138 Pa.Super. 485, 11 A.2d 176, 179.
A proprietor of a place not kept for the purpose of gambling is guilty if he allows gambling to be carried on and participates in it or receives a benefit from it in some way. People v. Dubinsky, Sp.Sess., 31 N.Y.S.2d 234, 238.
